Fast Website Build in 3 Weeks
Web Design • Performance • CRO
Clean IA, lean components, and copy tuned to the offer. Performance budget enforced for speed and better engagement, with fewer distractions between the hero and the quote request.
The Challenge
The old site was built on a bloated WordPress theme with 14 plugins, unoptimized images, and render-blocking scripts. Lighthouse performance scored a 34 out of 100. On mobile, the page took 4.2 seconds to become interactive, the layout shifted constantly, and the click-to-call button was hidden behind a hamburger menu. Visitors were bouncing before they ever saw a phone number.
The contractor had a strong reputation offline but was losing online leads to competitors with faster, cleaner sites. They needed to launch before the AC season hit, giving us a three-week window.
What We Did
We designed and built a brand-new website from scratch using Nuxt and Tailwind CSS, hosted on Netlify. Every decision was driven by a strict performance budget and conversion-focused design.
- Designed a clean, mobile-first layout with sticky click-to-call header and prominent CTAs on every page
- Built lean, reusable components — no page builder bloat, no unnecessary JavaScript
- Compressed and lazy-loaded all images using modern formats (WebP) with proper width/height attributes to eliminate layout shift
- Wrote conversion-tuned copy for 6 core pages: homepage, 3 service pages, about, and contact
- Implemented structured data (LocalBusiness, Service schema) for richer search results
- Set up Plausible analytics and goal tracking for form submissions and phone calls
- Configured the site to score 90+ on all four Lighthouse categories before launch
Why it mattered
Fast contractor websites are not just a technical win. They make the site feel more trustworthy, especially on mobile, where most emergency and service-area searches begin.
